Braces cost different amounts depending on the type of braces you select and the complexity of your treatment. Before you start orthodontic treatment, your orthodontist can let you know how much the braces are going to cost, and they can go over the payment options with you during your complimentary orthodontic consultation.
The Most Affordable Braces
Generally, metal braces are the most affordable braces. If you opt for ceramic braces, they tend to cost a bit more. Similarly, Invisalign also tends to cost more than traditional metal braces. Again, however, it depends on the complexity of your treatment.
As a general rule of thumb, the longer you have braces, the higher the cost will be. Additionally, if you get teeth extracted or other services as part of your orthodontic care, that can also drive up the cost.
Some dental insurance plans cover orthodontic treatment. Depending on the type of insurance plan you have, all or part of the braces may be covered. Before you start treatment, our FUNtastic Pediatric Dental Team can look over your insurance plan with you and help you figure out your co-pay.
Then, we can help you figure out the best payment options based on how much your braces cost. Note that you typically need to enroll in the insurance plan before you start the orthodontic care. Many insurers won’t pick up the cost after the treatment has already started.
At FUNtastic, we offer our clients a range of payment options. If you can pay for the entire cost of the treatment upfront, we offer a 5 percent courtesy discount. That savings can even help to offset the cost of paying for braces with a personal loan or using a credit card with a low-interest rate.
We can also set up monthly payments. That can cover all of the braces’ cost or the co-pay remaining after your insurance payment. To make monthly payments easier to manage, we can set up direct debits from your bank account.
Many people need to finance the cost of braces, and we can help with that as well. As indicated above, we can set up monthly payment plans for qualifying customers, and that helps you spread out the payments over the lifetime of the treatment. Those are interest-free installment payments, and you can track your balance and make payments online.
We also have relationships with both Care Credit and Wells Fargo. Care Credit is offered by Synchrony Bank, and it is a special line of credit designed just for dental, orthodontic, or medical expenses. You can complete the entire application easily online.
Similarly, financing through Wells Fargo is also a specific line of credit offered for health care needs. You can also apply online, and the bank takes less than a minute to review your application.
At FUNtastic Pediatric Dental, we want to offer our clients an anxiety-free dental experience, and that applies to your time in the dental chair as well as when you pay the bill. If you or your child needs braces, we can help you figure out what your braces cost will be. Contact us today to set up a consultation and learn more.
